(Eat me, drink me)

Simil-gold leaf

This piece responds to the brief of creating a site-specific work in an abandoned industrial mill in Orbe (CH).

When first arriving at the mill, the impression I had of the place was purely physical: being allergic, the moulds from the mill's old storage gave me hay fever.

Lick me is intended to be a mould too, a natural elementthat discreetly penetrates the space, starting the slow process through which nature takes back possession of this industrial architecture.

The title is a reference to the magical devices used in Lewis Carrol's novel Alice In Wonderland: nobody ever tried, but maybe this mould has magical effects as Alice's cakes.
